Install the device to a place with optimal transmission conditions, close to windows, out of electronic devices
and metal objects.
QUICK SETUP
To ensure high quality reception of radio signal, locate the device one meter from mains outlet and power
supply for minimum.
Step 1: Connect the power supply cord to a mains outlet. Then connect the power supply cord to the socket
on the device´s rear. Mount the holder to the bottom side.
Step 2: By sliding remove the battery compartment cover in the back of the device and insert three AA
alkaline batteries. Carefully observe +/- polarity. Put on the battery compartment cover back.
Step 3: Stand the device and wireless sensor closely. By sliding remove the battery compartment cover in the
back of the wireless sensor and insert three AAA alkaline batteries into the battery compartment. Put on the
battery compartment cover back. The device receives signal from the wireless sensor within several seconds.
Then you can locate the outdoor temperature sensor on a dry and shady place in outer environment.
Step 4: Pull down the protective foil from the device´s front. Now the device is ready to operate.
Step 5: After signal reception from the outdoor sensors the device begins to generate DCF signal. It may take
all night long. If the device did not nd any DCF signal in day, set the clock manually.
Notes:
1. Wireless transmission range is approx. 30m in free area without obstructions. Real transmission distance
depends on obstructions in signal path. Every obstruction (roof, wall, ceiling, big tree, etc.) reduces
eective transmission distance by one half.
2. While receiving DCF signal no buttons are active and no temperature measurement is executed. After
the rst installation, temperature measurement settles down and becomes accurate within approx.
30minutes.
Backing battery
At power failure the backing battery protects clock and alarm data. During backing battery operation the
LCD display is turned o.

2. While strong DCF signal reception is recognized, 3 columns are showed . While poor DCF signal
reception is recognized, 1 column is showed or . Relocate the device to other place or run new
searching by power cord disconnecting. During reception signal intensity may change between 1 and 3
columns. It may occurs when the device registers DCF signal and other HF signals in vicinity.
3. If the clock does not receive DCF signal within 7 minutes it returns to normal time indication. If the clock
does not receive correct DCF signal within 21 minutes it stops reaching.
4. While receiving, you can turn to time indication by pressing TIME button. To turn to signal reception and
indication mode, press WAVE button again.
