Why is my Echo PB-2520 engine difficult to start?
    • P
      paulscottJul 27, 2025
There are several reasons why your Echo Blower engine might be hard to start. It could be due to a clogged fuel filter, which you can clean or replace. Alternatively, the fuel system might be clogged and needs cleaning. A dirty or damp spark plug, fuel degradation, or an incorrect electrode gap can also cause starting issues. Try replacing the spark plug with new fuel, adjusting or replacing degraded fuel, and cleaning or replacing the spark plug to correct the electrode gap.

Why is my Echo PB-2520 engine hard to start?
    • J
      Jessica GrahamAug 2, 2025
If your Echo Blower engine starts hard or doesn't start at all, several factors could be at play. First, ensure the ignition is not in the STOP position. If it is, move it away from STOP. Other potential causes include a fuel mixture that's too rich (in this case, open the choke, clean or replace the air filter, or adjust the carburetor), an obstructed fuel strainer or fuel line (clean or replace), an issue with the carburetor, or a problematic spark plug. For the spark plug, adjust the gap to 0.65mm (0.026 in.) or clean or replace the plug if it's covered with carbon, fouled with fuel, or defective. For carburetor issues and some fuel obstructions, it's recommended to see your dealer.

Why is my Echo Blower engine cranking but not starting?

      James WatsonAug 6, 2025
If your Echo Blower engine cranks but struggles to start, or doesn't start at all, there are several potential causes. It could be due to a clogged fuel strainer or fuel line, or an issue with the carburetor, in which case you should see your dealer. A fuel mixture that's too rich might also be the culprit; try opening the choke and cleaning or replacing the air filter, or see your dealer. Also, ensure the stop switch is in the ON position. Issues with the spark plug, such as an incorrect gap, carbon buildup, fuel fouling, or a defect, can also cause starting problems; adjust the gap to 0.65mm (0.026 in.) or clean/replace the spark plug. Lastly, check that the suction tube or fan housing cover are properly assembled; reinstall the suction tube or tighten the knob on the fan housing cover.

    • J
      Joseph MarksAug 11, 2025
If your Echo Blower engine starts but won't accelerate, several factors could be the cause. Check the air and fuel filters; if dirty, clean or replace them. A blocked exhaust or silencer vent can also cause this issue, so clean them. Also, clean or replace the spark arrester screen if it's plugged or worn. For spark plug problems, clean, adjust, or replace it.

What to do if Echo PB-2520 Blower engine runs, but dies or does not accelerate properly?
    • K
      Kimberly CastilloAug 16, 2025
If your Echo Blower engine runs but then dies or doesn't accelerate properly, consider these potential causes: a dirty air filter (clean or replace it), a dirty fuel filter (replace it), or a plugged fuel vent (clean or replace it). A dirty or worn spark plug could also be the issue (clean and adjust or replace it). The cooling system might be dirty or plugged (clean it), or the spark arrestor screen could be plugged (replace it). If the problem is due to improper adjustment, see your dealer.

What to do if Echo Blower engine runs, but dies?
    • A
      amanda25Aug 21, 2025
If your Echo Blower engine runs but dies or doesn't accelerate properly, it could be due to several reasons. Contaminants or residue in the fuel may be the cause, so try replacing the fuel filter or the fuel itself. It could also be due to normal wear of some parts, contaminated fuel, vibration, or extended operation in dirty or dusty locations. Depending on the cause, cleaning, adjusting, or replacing parts may solve the problem.
