Never use a metal tool to scrape
carbon from the exhaust port. Do
not scratch the cylinder or piston
when cleaning the exhaust port.
Do not allow carbon particles to
enter the cylinder.
6. Replace heat shield.
Assure heat shield is installed
correctly behind rib (A) and in
front of rib (B) in fan case.
7. Install muffler.
8. Tighten muffler mounting bolts
(or nuts) to 90-110 kgf • cm
(80-95 in • lbf).
9. Assemble components in
reverse order.
10. Start engine, and warm to
operating temperature.
11. Stop engine, and re-tighten mounting bolts (or nuts) to specifications.
