Why is my Echo PB-500 engine difficult to start?

  If your Echo Blower engine is difficult to start, has fluctuating rotation, or doesn't start, several factors could be at play. The fuel filter might be clogged, so try cleaning or replacing it. Fuel degradation could also be the issue; in that case, replace the old fuel with new fuel. Alternatively, the spark plug might be dirty or damp; replacing it with new fuel may resolve the problem. Also, check the electrode gap; if it's incorrect, adjust or replace it. Carbon deposits could also be a factor, so clean or replace the spark plug. For fuel system clogs, internal carburetor sticking, carburetor problems, internal engine malfunction, electrical faults, consult your ECHO dealer.

  If your Echo Blower starts but won't accelerate, the air filter or fuel filter might be dirty; try cleaning or replacing them. A blocked exhaust vent or silencer vent can also cause this, so clean them. Additionally, a plugged spark arrester screen or normal wear could be the cause; clean or replace the screen. For blocked fuel passages, carburetor adjustment problems, consult your ECHO dealer. Also, check the spark plug; clean, adjust, or replace it as needed.
