APPLICATION NOTES
Using Outputs
Each input can be used as a grounding Output. To toggle an Output you must call the EDAC 400-
02 when it is in idle mode, i.e. all inputs have been cancelled or there are no active inputs. Once
the EDAC 400-02 has answered, the idle message is spoken twice. Enter Output mode by
pressing the PIN while the Site message is being played.
The Output mode message will speak along with each Output message (either off or on). The
Output on message is spoken when the Output is grounded.
Pressing 1, 2, 3, or 4 toggles the state of Outputs 1, 2, 3 or 4 respectively. Output 1 is Input
4 and uses Input 4’s voice message as an on message. Outputs 4, 3, 2, 1 are designated Input 1,
2, 3 and 4 respectively. Please refer to the table below to see which Outputs correspond to which
inputs.
If no key press is detected for 15 seconds the EDAC 400-02 will terminate the call.
# will also terminate the call.
The EDAC 400-02 will only react to Outputs that have been enabled (see function F08).
Functions F05 Answer Incoming Calls When all Inputs are Cancelled, F06 Answer Incoming Calls
When no Inputs active, and function F08 Outputs, must be configured appropriately.
NOTE: All Outputs return to off when the power is removed.
