Modem Communications
The EDAC 400-02 has a 2400-baud V22bis modem, which can be used to communicate with
external devices e.g. a data-logger or PLC plugged into the RS232 connector. A call to the
EDAC 400-02 can be established with a PC using HyperTerminal, a Windows application shipped
with all versions of Windows. When the call is made using ATDT<phone number>,,,,## the
EDAC 400-02 will go into through mode allowing direct RS232 communications between the PC
and the external device connected to the EDAC 400-02.
