13. FUEL SYSTEM
Stripping the carburetor
undo the four xing screws and
remove the cover;
separate the diaphragm and
ga ske t ca re fu ll y fr om the
carburetor body, exposing the
lever pivot beneath;
loosen the lever xing screw,
remove the lever, pivot, needle
and spring;
undo the pump cover xing screw, then remove
the cover, diaphragm and gasket;
IMPORTANT:
Diaphragms and gaskets are provided with
projecting lugs to facilitate their correct
positioning when retted.
remove the fuel inlet lter from the pump body, using a pointed tool
and proceeding with care.
IMPORTANT:
clean with degreaser;
to extend the life of the diaphragm, the use of additive is
recommended.
