AUX Channel Settings
The AUX channel can be configured to be a second Drogue channel, a second Main channel, or
as an Airstart output, that triggers on the way “up” after a timer has expired. To change the
AUX channel’s function, click on the Change link on the status page… you’ll see this page.
AUX Mode: OFF, Drogue, Main, Airstart (default OFF)
OFF does just that… it turns the AUX channel off so it doesn’t do anything. If you’re not using
it, you should turn it off… otherwise, you won’t be able to arm your Quasar because it won’t
have continuity.
Drogue behaves exactly like the Drogue channel… all functions are identical.
Main behaves like the Main channel, except that the Failsafe function is not supported.
Airstart fires that channel at a selected time after launch detect, it is typically used for
“airstarting” second stage or clustered motors in flight. More on that later.
The AUX Mode Screens
When you select an AUX mode (other than OFF), you’ll see the mode and its status on the status
page. You’ll also see an Options link… that allow you to change the mode-specific settings for
the AUX channel.
