How to fix EGO Trimmer that fails to start?
    • M
      melissa53Jul 25, 2025
If your EGO Trimmer fails to start, it could be due to several reasons. The battery pack might not be attached, there may be no electrical contact between the trimmer and battery, the battery pack could be depleted, or the lock-off trigger is not being moved forward before depressing the switch trigger. To resolve this: * Attach the battery pack to the trimmer. * Remove the battery, check the contacts, and reinstall the battery pack. * Charge the battery pack. * Move the lock-off trigger forward and then press the switch trigger.

Why EGO POWER+ ST1510T head will not advance line?
    • D
      Douglas NavarroJul 30, 2025
If the trimmer head on your EGO Trimmer won't advance the line, it could be because the motor shaft or trimmer head is bound with grass, there's not enough line on the spool or the line breaks from the eyelet, the line is tangled, or the line is too short. Here's how to troubleshoot: * Stop the trimmer, remove the battery, and clean the motor shaft and trimmer head. * Remove the battery and replace the cutting line. * Remove the battery, remove the line from the trimmer head and rewind. * Remove the battery and pull the lines manually while alternately pressing down and releasing the trimmer head.

What to do if EGO POWER+ ST1510T Trimmer cutting line cannot be wound properly?
    • A
      Amy FergusonAug 3, 2025
If the cutting line on your EGO Trimmer cannot be wound into the trimmer head properly, it may be because the cutting line is too long, improper cutting line is used, grass debris or dirt has accumulated in the trimmer head and blocked the movement of line spool, the motor is overheated due to repeatedly operating the line winding system, or the battery is low. To address this: * Cut the line so that about 5.5 in.(14cm) long is showing on each side. * Remove the battery, open the trimmer head and clean it thoroughly. * Let the string trimmer work under no load for a few minutes to cool the motor, then try to reload the line. * Charge the battery.

What to do if cutting line cannot be passed through EGO POWER+ ST1510T head?
    • B
      brucegrantAug 7, 2025
If the cutting line cannot be passed through the trimmer head of your EGO Trimmer when inserting the line, it could be because the cutting line is split or bent at the end, or the lower cover is not released to position after reinstalling. To fix this, cut the worn end of the line and reinsert it. Also, attach the battery pack onto the trimmer and press the line loading button to briefly start the power loading to release the lower cover.

    • R
      Ronald RamirezAug 11, 2025
If grass wraps around the trimmer head and motor housing of your EGO Trimmer, it's likely because you're cutting tall grass at ground level. To prevent this, cut tall grass from the top down, removing no more than 8 inches in each pass.

Why is the blade not cutting the line on my EGO Trimmer?
    • G
      Gwendolyn PhillipsAug 15, 2025
If the blade on your EGO Trimmer is not cutting the line, it's likely that the line-cutting blade on the edge of the guard has become dull. Sharpen the line-cutting blade with a file or replace it with a new blade.

What causes cracks on EGO POWER+ ST1510T head?
    • J
      jrobinsonAug 20, 2025
Cracks on the EGO Trimmer head, or a spool retainer that comes loose, can be caused by a worn-out trimmer head or a loose nut that locks the trimmer head. To resolve this, replace the trimmer head immediately or open the trimmer head and use an impact wrench to tighten the nut.
