STOPPING THE ELECTRIC LAWN TRACTOR (Fig. 17)
DANGER: Never make sudden stops or abrupt changes of direction, especially when maneuvering on a slope. The
steering wheel and accelerator pedal are designed for sensitive response. Quickly stepping on the accelerator or rotating
the steering wheel in either direction could result in a reaction of the tractor that can cause serious injury.
1. Push the PTO switch downward to turn off the blade motors.
NOTE: The cutting blades may be stopped at any time.
2. Release the accelerator pedal.
3. Place the direction control lever in the neutral position.
4. Pull up the parking-brake lock lever and fully depress the parking-brake pedal to set the tractor in parking-brake
position.
5. Press the start/stop button for more than 3 seconds to turn off the tractor.
6. Remove the safety key from the tractor and keep it in a safe place.
NOTE: In a situation when the parking-brake pedal is set to the parking-brake position and the operator is off the seat,
but the battery packs are not removed:
◾
In case the LCD screen is turned off, the battery indicators, start/stop button, and CCS button will remain illuminated
for 1 hour.
◾
In case the LCD screen shows the “fuel gauge” or operator interface, the tractor will automatically shut off after
1 hour.
