Smooth, Clean Motion
An overdrive circuit is included to enhance the play-
back of moving images by adjusting the voltage input
for each frame based on image data from the previ
-
ous three frames. Commonly used in LCD TVs, this
circuit improves midtone response time — the time
required to transit between gray levels — to 8 ms. Fast
video sequences and 3D-CAD animation are displayed
without delays.
BrightRegulator
This function keeps the screen at the ideal bright-
ness level under all lightning conditions. A sensor on
the front panel takes readings of the ambient bright
-
ness and signals the backlight to adjust the screen
brightness accordingly.
Fine Contrast Mode Selection
The Fine Contrast function provides ideal viewing
conditions for office applications (Text mode), video
clips (Movie mode), graphics (Picture mode), and
web browsing (sRGB mode). A Custom mode is also
available for individual user settings. The bundled
ScreenManager Pro for LCD software supports au
-
tomatic mode switching, such as changing to Picture
mode when a graphics application is selected.
Precise Color Control
An internal 10-bit look-up table offers a palette of
more than 1 billion colors from which the most ap
-
propriate 16.7 million (8-bits) are displayed, ensur
-
ing accurate reproduction of subtle color variations.
Gamma values can be adjusted manually from 1.4
to 3.0 in steps of 0.2 and color temperature in 500 K
increments from 4,000 to 10,000 K. In addition, hue,
gain, and saturation can be controlled separately.
