2. Operating Environment
DO NOT expose the MP-11 to strong mechanical vibrations and/or impact, high humidity and water,
dust, extreme temperature differences, and near objects that generate strong magnetic and/or
electric fields to prevent possible damage to the MP-11 or potential risk to the operator.
When using MP-11 at the outdoor field, make sure to connect the grounding wire to the grounding
terminal.
MP-11 can’t be used in rainy weather. DO NOT use when it may rain.
Do not expose the main unit to excessive heat sources (long term exposure to sun light), as the
electronics might become overheated and will switch off.
1. Power Supply
When using MP-11 on outdoor field, always use/wear isolating safety items (conductive rubber
gloves, boots, etc.) for protection from electric shocks during operation.
Be aware of any potential risks for electric shock. When connecting electric cables to and
disconnecting from the PV module/array, wear high-voltage rubber insulating gloves and boots as
hazardous voltages may cause electric shock.
When connecting to and disconnecting from the PV module/array, always check for any risks for
electric shock by testing the connecting area with tester, etc. before connecting or disconnecting.
Do not touch the terminal block and power source plugs with wet hands. This may cause electric
shocks and/or electric leakages.
For safety reasons the PV power system and MP-11 should be operated by authorized electric
engineers only.
Disconnect power conditioner or inverter before measurements.
Always switch On MP-11 before connecting to PV module/ string/array
Securely connect proves to PV module/string/array before measurements.
Always disconnect PV module/string/array before switching Off MP-11.
