Drying Hints:
- Do not exceed the dryer's rated capacity.
- Avoid tumble drying delicate items, wool, silk, items with metal trim, bulky materials (anoraks, blankets, sleeping bags), or items containing rubber foam.
- Remove undergarments with metal reinforcements or place them in a bag.
- Check and empty pockets to prevent damage or fire hazards.
- Close fasteners (press studs, hooks, eyes, zips) and tie belts/apron strings to prevent tangling.
- Drying time depends on fabric type, construction, load size, wetness, voltage fluctuations, room temperature, and humidity.
- Spin laundry as dry as possible in the washing machine.
- Sort laundry by fabric type.
- Avoid drying dark clothes with light-colored items to prevent lint transfer.
- Clean the lint filter after every use.
- Pre-spin easy-care items briefly.
- Use fabric softener or conditioner to avoid static charge.
- Remove laundry immediately after drying to prevent creasing.
- Do not over-dry laundry.
- Wash clothes or towels containing sand or grit first.
- For uneven dryness, use Extra Dry or Timer Program, but be mindful of fabric type to avoid over-drying.
- Fabric labels: Symbols indicate suitability for tumble drying, high/low temperatures, or not suitable.
- Permanent press and synthetics: Remove immediately to reduce wrinkles.
- Woollen articles: Not recommended; pull to original shape, dry flat.
- Woven and loop knit materials: May shrink; do not use "Extra Dry" setting; stretch immediately after drying.
- Fibre or leather materials: Check manufacturer's instructions.
- Baby clothes and night gowns (acrylic): Use "Iron Dry" setting only.
- Rubber and plastics: Do not dry items made from or containing rubber or plastics.
- Fibreglass: Not recommended due to potential skin irritation.
- Avoid sheet-type fabric conditioners as they can block the lint filter.
Maintenance Features
Cleaning the Lint Filter:
- A clean lint filter is crucial for reducing drying times, saving energy, and preventing overheating, which can damage clothes.
- The "Clean Filter" indicator blinks at the end of each dry cycle as a reminder.
- To clean: Open the door, pull out the filter, open it, remove lint by hand or with a soft brush, close the filter, and reinsert.
- If necessary, remove fluff from the filter socket and gasket using a vacuum cleaner.
- Always clean the filter when a program is completed.
Cleaning the Drum:
- Disconnect the appliance before cleaning.
- Use a standard neutral soap detergent to clean the inner surface of the drum and drum lifters.
- Dry cleaned surfaces with a soft cloth.
- Do not use abrasive materials or steel wool.
Cleaning the Control Panel:
- Use a standard neutral soap detergent and a moist cloth.
- Dry cleaned surfaces with a soft cloth.
- Do not use furniture cleaning agents or cleaning agents that can cause corrosion.
Installation:
- Unpacking: Use gloves, cut and remove straps, remove carton box, polystyrene packaging, and plastic bag. Open the door and remove items from the drum. Put polystyrene packaging element on the floor, carefully lay the appliance on its rear, remove the polystyrene base, and pull the appliance upright.
- Positioning: Can be placed on the floor, on a workbench (upside down or upright), or on a wall.
- The appliance must not be installed behind a lockable door, sliding door, or hinged door that restricts full opening.
- Exhaust Grille: The grille can be rotated to select the optimum exhaust air angle. If using a venting kit, replace the front grille with the outlet cover from the back.
- Venting Options: Front or rear (using included kit). Use only Electrolux-approved kits. The exhaust duct must not exceed 2 meters in length at 100mm diameter.
- Ensure clear airflow at inlet and outlet points to prevent overheating.
- If discharging exhaust air into the room, ensure adequate ventilation to prevent backflow of gases from other fuel-burning appliances.
- Machine Leveling: Ensure the dryer stands firm and level on a flat, hard floor using a spirit level. Do not use cardboard or wood to compensate for unevenness. Ensure air circulation is not impeded by carpets or rugs. Check that the machine does not touch walls or cupboard units.
- Electrical Connection: Operates on 230 V, single-phase, 60 Hz supply. Connect to an earthed socket outlet only at the end of installation, ensuring accessibility. Check domestic electrical installation can handle maximum load. If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, authorized service agent, or similarly qualified person. Do not use multi-plug adapters or extension cables. Do not pull the mains cable or touch with wet hands.
Environmental Concerns:
- Recycle packaging materials.
- Recycle waste electrical and electronic appliances at local facilities; do not dispose of with household waste.
