4.Special functions
4.1 Cooler mode (Only AEG)
For products in AEG design there is a possibility change the regulation so that the
products could be used as a refrigerator. This function is activated by simultaneously
pressing the reset button for alarm and the temperature selector button for colder
temperature for 5 seconds. During these 5 seconds "FC" shows in the display. When the
function is activated a short beep sounds. The temperature can now be regulated
between 0 and +16 °C. Return back to freezer mode by pressing the reset button for
alarm and the temperature selector button for colder temperature for 5 seconds. During
these 5 seconds "CF" shows in the display. When the function is activated a short beep
sounds.
4.2 Super cooling (Only AEG)
When ”Cooler mode” is activated there is also a super cooling function which means that
during 6 hours the product is regulated with values corresponding to a setting of +2 °C.
This function is activated by pressing the freezing button. The display shows "IC".
4.3 Demo mode
• NOTE! The door has to be closed.
• Is activated by simultaneously pressing the button for ON/OFF, and the temperature
button for colder temperature and hold them for 2 – 3 seconds. To enable the
activation of this function the product has to be in operation and the air sensor
temperature has to be warmer than + 10 °C
• The demo mode can be deactivated on two different ways:
- By pressing the buttons for ON/OFF and the temperature selection button for
colder temperature for 5 seconds the freezer goes back to normal operation.
- By power cut off. Next time the freezer starts it will run normally.
• When Demo mode is activated:
- The compressor is always OFF.
- The light is ON when the door is open.
- The defrosting is disabled so the defrosting element is always OFF.
- Temperature alarm and door alarm is disabled.
• The display shows the Set point flashing for 4 seconds on and 1 second off. It is
possible to change Set point temperature in the same way as during normal condition
by pressing the temperature setting buttons.
• Pressing the freezing button activates the freezing lamp and the display shows "A"
(except for AEG where "SF" shows for 3 seconds and after that the set temperature
shows).
5. Manual defrosting
If there is a problem with frost building up, it is possible to start a manual defrosting.
Press the warmer temperature button and the colder temperature button
simultaneously for about 3 seconds. This has to be done with the door open and
within 30 seconds from when the door was opened.
