Overview

This document is a Use & Care Guide for a Frigidaire Gas Range, providing instructions for installation, operation, and maintenance.

Function Description:

The Frigidaire Gas Range is a kitchen appliance designed for cooking food using both surface burners and an oven. It features an electronic oven control with a kitchen timer, allowing for precise temperature and time management. The range supports various cooking methods including baking, broiling, and, on some models, Quick Bake (convection cooking). The surface cooktop includes multiple burner sizes for different cooking needs, from simmering delicate sauces to quick boiling large quantities of liquid. The oven also features a self-cleaning cycle for convenient maintenance.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Oven Temperature Range: 170°F to 550°F (77°C to 287°C).
  • Factory Preset Bake Temperature: 350°F (177°C).
  • Quick Bake Temperature Range (some models): 300°F to 550°F (147°C to 287°C).
  • Factory Preset Quick Bake Temperature: 350°F (177°C).
  • Surface Burner BTU Ratings (some models):
    • Simmer burner: 5,000 BTU
    • Standard burner: 9,500 BTU
    • Quick Boil burner: 12,000 BTU, 14,000 BTU, or 17,000 BTU
  • Oven Light Bulb: 40 watt appliance bulb.
  • Electrical Requirements: Equipped with a 3-prong grounding plug for protection against shock hazard.
  • Gas Type: Designed for natural gas, with an optional L.P. conversion kit available for liquefied petroleum gas.

Usage Features:

  • Electronic Oven Control: Allows setting the clock, minute timer, bake time, delayed bake, and self-clean cycle.
  • Temperature Display: Can be switched between Fahrenheit (°F) and Celsius (°C).
  • Silent Control Feature: The control panel can be programmed for silent operation, disabling audible beeps when pads are pressed.
