8.1.13 Password protection
The configuration software requests a password in order to upload and save the project.
Level 1 password
All operators using the 485EPB system must have a Level 1 PASSWORD.
This password only permits to view the LOG file, the composition of the system and MONITOR in
real time and upload operations.
The first time the system is initialized the operator must use the password "" (ENTER key). Designers
who know the level 2 password can enter a new level 1 password (alphanumerical, max. 8 characters).
Level 2 password
Designers authorized to work on the creation of the project must know a Level 2 PASSWORD. The
first time the system is initialized, the operator must use the password "SAFEPASS" (all capital let-
ters).
Designers who know the level 2 password can enter a new level 2 password (alphanumerical, max.
8 characters).
Note
The password entered as default must be modified to avoid manipulation (level 2 pass-
word) or so that the configuration loaded on eloProg (level 1 password) is not visible.
Note
Operators who know this password are enabled to upload (from 485EPB to PC), modify or
save the project.
Note
This password enables the project to be uploaded (from PC to 485EPB),
modified and saved.
When a new project is UPLOADED the level 2 password can be changed.
Should you forget either of these passwords, please contact elobau for an
unlocking password, which can only be sent to a system designer. When
this file is installed, this icon appears in the toolbar.
When this icon is activated, the passwords of level 1 and level 2 are
restored to their original values. These passwords can only be used once.
