Attention:
The pump must not be run empty (without liquid)!
Sand content of the water will greatly damage the pump!
1.) FUNCTION AND SCOPES OF USAGE
The submersible pump type BP 10/4, BP 14/4, BP 18/3, BP 22/3 and BP1/4 fabricated by
ELPUMPS KFT can be used to forward clean (drinking) water. Where the maximum 6-9
meter suction lift of the standard pumps is not enough (since the well’s normal water-level
is deeper down), it is necessary to install a submersible pump. The dimensions of the pump
BP…. allow its use in wells of at least 110 mm inner diameter.
The pump is best adapted to provide homes with drinking-water and with water for other
purposes, such as watering, flooding and to satisfy the water demands of stock-raising. It
can be used as a home water supplier with an additional non-return valve and a compressed-
air reservoir.
The pump cannot be used to forward inflammable, explosive and aggressive liquids or to
pump water at construction sites and leaks or to pump irruptive ground water, sandy or
muddy water or waste-water! The maximum sand content of the water can be 20 g/m
3
.
Advantages of the pump:
- it can be installed into drilled wells of small (min. 110 mm) inner diameter;
- great suction lift
- minimum costs of upkeep and maintenance
- quick installation as it is usually not necessary to extend the power cable
- corrosion-resisting design.
