  A noisy Emerson Fan could be due to: * Blades not attached to the fan. Ensure the blades are properly attached before operating the fan. * Loose screws in the motor housing. Check and tighten all screws in the motor housing, but avoid over-tightening. * Loose screws securing the fan blade flanges to the motor hub. Tighten these screws. * Wire connectors inside the switch housing rattling. Ensure wire connectors are not rattling against each other or the switch housing's interior wall. * Loose screws holding the blades to the flanges. Securely tighten these screws.

  Your Emerson Fan might not start due to several reasons: * A blown fuse or circuit breaker. Check both the main and branch circuit fuses or circuit breakers. * Loose power line connections to the fan, or loose switch wire connections in the switch housing. Inspect and tighten these connections. * A dead battery in the remote control transmitter. Replace the battery, and ensure the red indicator light illuminates when a button is pressed. * Incorrect code switch positions in the remote control receiver and transmitter. Verify that the code switches are in the same positions and reset if needed.

  Excessive wobbling in your Emerson fan can be caused by: * A loose setscrew in the motor coupling. Make sure to securely tighten both setscrews. * A loose setscrew in the hanger ball/downrod assembly. Tighten this setscrew. * Loose screws securing the fan blade flanges to the motor. Check and tighten these screws. * Fan blade flanges not seated properly. Ensure they seat firmly and uniformly to the motor surface, retightening the flange screws if needed. * The hanger bracket and/or ceiling outlet box is not securely fastened. Tighten the hanger bracket screws to the outlet box, and/or secure the outlet box. * Fan blades out of balance. Try interchanging an adjacent blade pair to redistribute the weight.
