  If the picture on your Emerson TV/DVD/VCR is weak, try changing to a new channel to rule out station problems. Check that the antenna is connected to the terminal on the back of the unit. If you are using an outside antenna, check for broken wires. Adjust the CONTRAST & BRIGHT control.

  If your Emerson TV/DVD/VCR has a good picture but poor sound, and timer recording isn't working, try switching to a new channel to rule out station trouble. Check for local interference. Ensure that the timer recording is set correctly, the power is off, and the TV/DVD/VCR clock is set correctly.

  If you notice different color marks on the screen of your Emerson TV/DVD/VCR, it could be due to magnetism from nearby appliances or geomagnetism. Try moving the unit away from other appliances, as the TV/DVD/VCR can repair itself automatically. For immediate repair, turn off using the POWER button, then turn it on again 30 minutes or so later (27” model), or unplug the power cord, then plug it in again 30 minutes or so later (19” model).
