Overview

This document is an owner's manual for an Endless Summer LP Gas Outdoor Fire Table, Model No. GAD15266B. It provides comprehensive instructions for assembly, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting, along with important safety warnings.

Function Description:

The Endless Summer LP Gas Outdoor Fire Table is designed for outdoor use only, providing an ambient flame for residential settings. It operates on liquid propane (LP) gas and is not intended for indoor heating, cooking, or commercial use. The fire table features a burner that produces a flame, which can be adjusted, and is typically covered with fire glass or lava rocks (sold separately) for aesthetic appeal. An igniter system allows for easy lighting of the burner. The unit is designed to be self-contained, housing a standard 20 lb (9 kg) LP gas tank within its base.

Important Technical Specifications:

  • Model Number: GAD15266B
  • Fuel Type: Liquid Propane (LP) Gas only. Conversion to natural gas is dangerous and voids the warranty.
  • LP Gas Tank: Requires a standard 20 lb (9 kg) LP gas tank with external valve threads. The tank must be constructed and marked in accordance with U.S. Department of Transportation (D.O.T.) Specifications for LP-Gas Cylinders, or the Standard for Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes for the Transportation of Dangerous Goods and Commission, CAN/CSA-B339 as applicable. It must be arranged for vapor withdrawal, have a listed overfilling prevention device (OPD), and a QCCI or Type I (CGA810) LP gas tank connection. The tank collar must protect the tank valve.
  • Gas Pressure: The pressure regulator is set for an 11-inch water column (28 cm). Maximum inlet gas pressure is also 11 inches water column.
  • Clearances:
    • Do NOT operate, light, or use within ten feet (3.05 m) of walls, structures, or buildings.
    • For apartment dwellers, use on the ground floor with a ten-foot (3.05 m) clearance from any structure. Do NOT use on or under balconies.
    • Do NOT store or use gasoline or other flammable liquids or vapors within 25 feet (7.62 m) of this appliance.
  • Fire Glass/Lava Rocks: Approximately 13.2 lbs (6 kg) of fire glass (0.8-1.6 in. / 2-4 cm long) or 6.6 lbs (3 kg) of lava rocks (0.8-2.0 in. / 2-5 cm long) are needed. Only factory-authorized glass rock or lava rock from Blue Rhino Global Sourcing, Inc. should be used.
  • Battery: Requires one AA 1.5V battery for the igniter.
  • Assembly Time: Approximately one hour.

Usage Features:

  • Outdoor Use Only: Strictly for outdoor use, away from enclosed spaces like buildings, garages, campers, tents, cars, or homes, due to carbon monoxide hazard.
  • Easy Assembly: The manual provides step-by-step instructions for assembling the fire table, including attaching legs, side/rear panels, base, door, and inserting the battery.
  • LP Gas Tank Installation: Clear instructions are given for inserting and connecting the LP gas tank, including securing it with a retainer bolt.
  • Lighting Procedure: The fire table features an igniter for lighting. Users are instructed to turn the LP gas tank valve to "OPEN," push and turn the control knob to "HIGH," and hold it for 20 seconds to heat the thermocouple, a safety device. If the igniter fails, manual lighting with a long match or butane lighter is described.
  • Flame Adjustment: The control knob allows for adjustment of the flame height.
  • Safety Features:
    • Thermocouple: A safety device that stops gas flow if the fire table is not lit.
    • Overfilling Prevention Device (OPD): Required on LP gas tanks to prevent overfilling.
    • Leak Detection: Users are instructed to perform a leak test using a soap and water solution before each use and every time the tank is connected.
    • Carbon Monoxide Warning: Prominently displayed, emphasizing the danger of using the appliance in enclosed spaces.
    • Combustible Materials: Strict warnings against using or storing flammable materials near the fire table.
    • Children and Pets: Keep children and pets away from hot surfaces.
  • Table Insert: A table insert is provided, but users are warned NEVER to place it on the outdoor fire table while in use or while the unit is still hot.
  • Fuel Type Specificity: Designed exclusively for LP gas; any attempt to use natural gas is dangerous and voids the warranty.

Maintenance Features:

  • Regular Cleaning: The fire table, including the valve compartment, burners, and circulating air passages, should be thoroughly cleaned and inspected on a regular basis.
  • Cleaning Surfaces: Surfaces can be cleaned with mild dishwashing detergent or baking soda mixed with water, or a citrus-based cleaner for stubborn stains, followed by rinsing and air drying.
  • Burner/Venturi Tube Inspection: Essential to check and clean burner/venturi tubes for insects and nests, as a clogged tube can lead to a fire.
  • Leak Checks: Mandatory leak tests must be performed before lighting and each time the tank is connected.
  • Component Inspection: Regular checks for any signs of damage, rust, or obstructions in airflow. Damaged components should be repaired or replaced before operation.
  • Storage: Before storing, the LP gas tank valve should be turned to "CLOSED," the control knob to "OFF," and the LP gas tank disconnected. All surfaces should be cleaned, and the burner lightly coated with cooking oil to prevent rusting. If storing indoors, cover the unit and place it in a cool, dry location away from children and pets. If storing outdoors, cover it for weather protection.
  • Professional Inspection: The fire table should be inspected at least annually by a certified service person. More frequent cleaning may be required depending on usage.
  • Replacement Parts: Instructions to call a toll-free number (1.800.762.1142) for assistance and replacement parts, rather than returning the product to the place of purchase.
  • Product Registration: Encourages immediate product registration via BlueRhino.com/warranty or phone for faster warranty service.
  • Limited Warranty: A one-year limited warranty covers defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service, requiring proof of purchase. It excludes failures due to accident, abuse, misuse, alteration, improper installation or maintenance, and cosmetic damage.
