1 Introduction

The 4-Series is a product line for physical therapy, comprising the following devices:

The ultrasound devices can be supplied with one or two ultrasound applicators, depending on the article

ordered. See the table in the section “package contents” for details.

Do not install and use this device before consulting the user manual, which is available on the

CD-ROM included in this package (1). The Vacotron 460 has been designed for use with the

Sonopuls 492 or Endomed 482. For details concerning its installation and operation, consult

the user manual of these devices.

 For safe use of this device first familiarize yourself with the contents of the user manual, which is

available on the CD-ROM included in this package.

 Read, understand and practice the precautionary and operating instructions. Know the limitations

and hazards associated with using any electrical stimulation device. Observe the precautionary

and operational decals placed on the unit.

 Before administering any treatment to a patient you should familiarize yourself with the operating

procedures for each mode of treatment available, as well as the indications, contraindications,

warnings and precautions. Consult other resources for additional information regarding the

application of electrotherapy and ultrasound therapy.

 In case of ingress of liquids, unplug the unit from the mains supply and have it checked by an

authorized person (see the paragraph on maintenance in the user manual).

 This device should be kept out of the reach of children.
