1-3. Pilot Responsibilities
The pilot is responsible for determining that the helicopter
is safe for flight and is responsible for operating within the
limitations specified in Section 2. The pilot should
familiarize himself with the entire manual prior to receiving
competent flight instruction.
1-4. Warnings, Cautions, and Notes
The use of WARNING, CAUTION, and NOTE to emphasize
important and critical instructions is defined by the
following.
1.
WARNING
An operating practice or procedure, which, if not
correctly followed, could result in personal injury
or loss of life.
2.
CAUTION
An operating practice or procedure, which, if not
correctly followed, could result in damage to, or
destruction of, equipment.
3.
NOTE
An operating practice or procedure, which is
essential and requires additional information.
