What to do if my Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System has no water?
    • J
      Jennifer RileyJul 26, 2025
If your Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System isn't dispensing water, first, ensure the main water supply is turned on. Low water pressure (less than 25 PSI) can also cause this issue, with a maximum operating pressure of 75 PSI. Check for any kinks or bends in the tubing and straighten them out. Finally, a clogged prefilter cartridge might be the culprit; if water flows through the kitchen faucet, replace the sediment and/or other filters based on your water conditions and usage.

Why is my Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System leaking at the supplied faucet?
    • B
      brian18Jul 30, 2025
If your Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System faucet is leaking, it could be due to several reasons. The spout may need to be re-inserted into the faucet body. The spout swivels and has two o-rings at the base; ensure it's completely inserted to prevent leaks. Alternatively, there might be an o-ring issue at the inserted brass piece or "T" that holds and operates the handle, in which case you should replace the supplied faucet dispenser. Also, check the dispenser connections at various locations and re-connect, re-insert, tighten and/or correct them as needed.

What to do if my Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System has an unpleasant taste or odor?
    • J
      James HumphreyAug 4, 2025
If your Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System produces water with an unpleasant taste or odor, metallic flavor, discoloration, or a rotten egg smell, it could be due to the system being idle, stored, or misused for a long period of time. In this case, replace the filters and follow the start-up procedures. If hydrogen sulfide, iron, or manganese is present in your household water supply, these elements must be removed before the filter system.

How to resolve a leak at the inlet water supply connection or cartridge housing of my Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System?
    • K
      Kevin HillAug 8, 2025
If you notice a leak at the inlet water supply connection or cartridge housing of your Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System, first check the connections and ensure the angle stop valve is applicable and installed correctly. Also, check if the o-ring is misaligned, damaged, or missing; if so, locate and align the O-ring(s) into the groove at the top. If there is a cracked housing, replace the filter cartridge or remove and re-insert it correctly.

    Barbara DavisAug 12, 2025
Why is my Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System producing cloudy water?
    • M
      Monique MoralesAug 12, 2025
If your Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System is producing cloudy water, especially after a new installation or changing filters, it is simply air. Fill a glass and watch the air dissipate. Run and flush the system for several minutes.

How to fix a leak at the UV housing or a non-working UV in my Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System?
    • H
      hdoughertyAug 16, 2025
If there's a leak at the UV housing of your Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System, check for a misaligned, damaged, or missing o-ring at the cap and align the O-ring into the groove inside the cap. If the UV is not working, ensure the lamp cord is connected, the transformer is plugged in, and connected to the correct type of outlet. Also, the lamp may be damaged or burned out; connect the lamp cord and/or plug in the transformer.

What should I do if there is a leak at the inlet or outlet fitting of my Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System?
    • D
      Deanna PattersonAug 20, 2025
To address a leak at the inlet fitting (labeled “Feed”), outlet fitting (labeled “Faucet”), 90-degree elbow connection(s), or plastic compression fitting at the UV Module (DWS-UV only) of your Environmental Water Systems Water Filtration System, access the filter unit and remove the tubing by depressing the collet and pulling the tubing out. Use a utility razor knife to squarely cut 1/2” of tubing from the end, ensuring the end of the tubing is not flattened. Reinsert the tubing into the fitting as far as possible and check for leaks. Tug on the tubing (do not pull hard) to check the fitting and the integrity of the connection. If the fitting is damaged upon inspection prior to install or as a result of proper start-up and inspection, replace the part.
