IMPORTANT:
If you connected your printer using the parallel port and you see a screen telling you
that Windows has detected your printer and asking you to install a driver diskette,
ALWAYS select Cancel. You cannot install your software that way.
4. Insert the EPSON printer software diskette 1.
5. Click
Start
, select
Run
, and type
A:\Setup
(where
A
is your diskette drive letter).
Then click
OK
.
6. Follow the instructions on the screen to install the software.
7. After you install the printer software, repeat steps 4 through 6 to install Status
Monitor 2 from its diskettes.
Your printer software icons appear in the EPSON folder and the EPSON Stylus
COLOR 900 printer is set as your default Windows printer.
8. Restart your system.
9. Now you’re ready to print! See “Printing with Windows” on page 13 for
instructions.
Installing Windows 3.1 Software
1. Make sure your printer is connected to the computer and your computer is
turned on.
2. Make sure Windows Program Manager is running. Exit any open applications.
3. Insert the EPSON printer software diskette 1.
4. From the Program Manager File menu, select Run.
5. Type A:\SETUP (where A is the drive letter of your diskette drive) and click OK.
6. Follow the instructions on screen to install the software.
Your printer software icons appear in the EPSON program group and the
EPSON Stylus COLOR 900 printer is set as your default Windows printer.
7. Now you’re ready to print! See “Printing with Windows” on page 13 for
instructions.
