Setting up the printer after
transporting
The steps you need to take to set up the printer
after transporting it are almost identical to the
steps carried out the first time you set up the
printer. When you set up the printer again, refer
to the Unpacking and Setup Guide.
A
Make sure that the place is proper.
See "Choosing a Place for the Printer" in
the Unpacking and Setup Guide.
B
Open the front cover. Loosen the screw and
remove the two metal plates from the side
of the print head compartment.

Close the front cover.
D
Plug in the power cable to the electrical
outlet, and turn on the printer.
See "Setting up the Printer" in the
Unpacking and Setup Guide.
E
Perform a nozzle check to see if there are
any missing dots.
See “Nozzle check” on page 132.
F
Perform the print head alignment to ensure
print quality.
See “Print head alignment” on page 138.
Note:
Store the metal plates for later use.
