Tape the leading edge of the roll paper to
the take-up reel core in three places.
F
Press the button to feed the paper
forward and create a loop of slack.
G
Hold down the Auto Forward button to
take up the roll paper for one or more
revolution of the take-up paper core.
After taking up the paper, ensure that there
is adequate slack between the roll paper
and the take-up reel core.
Winding paper backward

Set the paper guides vertically.

Pull out the roll paper. See step 3 to 5 of the
following section.
“Winding paper forward” on page 41

Pull the bottom of the roll paper around the
back of the reel core as shown below. Then
tape the leading edge of the paper to the
reel core in three places.

Press the button to feed the paper
forward and create a loop of slack.
E
Hold down the Auto Backward button to
take up the roll paper for one or more
revolution of the take-up paper core.
