Notes:
ͳ Should the ue not extend past the apex of the roof, the boom opening of the ue should extend at least
200mm from the roof (or 300mm in regions with heavy snow).
ͳ The installaon of a ue into a carport is not recommended.
ͳ The ue terminal will get very hot when in use. Precauons should be taken to protect people and animals
from injury.
ͳ When installing in an enclosed balcony, follow AS/NZS 5601.1 for appropriate clearances.
C9 Running the Flue
Use the following table to determine the exhaust ue clearances to combusbles:
Model
DF700 50mm clearance for rst 0.9m
DF960 50mm clearance for rst 0.6m
Run the Ø100mm ID and Ø75mm ID (Ø110mm OD and Ø85mm OD) exible aluminium hoses from the cavity to
the rear of where the Horizontal or Vercal Power Flue Terminal will be installed. Allow enough stretch in the
exible aluminium ue to allow it to be able to protrude through the wall/ceiling/roof/ue liner to enable it to
be connected to the Power Flue Terminal. The ue should be expanded at each end in order for the ue to be
aached to the re/Power Flue. It is advisable to secure the exi ue at regular intervals to prevent vibraon,
movement and sagging. Steel wire or ‘builders strapping’ may be used for this purpose.
Note: The exible ue is shipped in a ‘compressed’ form. Extend it to your desired length by stretching.
For informaon on running the PolyPro ue , see the installaon manual which is supplied with the ue
components.
