What to do if the ESPEC BTZ-133 Climate chamber test area temperature exceeded chamber limits?
    • M
      Matthew GeorgeAug 10, 2025
If the ESPEC Climate chamber's test area temperature exceeds chamber limits, it's likely due to a component failure. A thermal fuse replacement is needed. First, remove power from the machine and identify the cause of the overheat. If needed, call for service. After replacing the thermal fuse, reapply power, press the Fault Reset Switch, and turn the Chamber Run Switch to the run position. Monitor the chamber temperature to ensure it stays within the set limit.

      Cindy ScottAug 17, 2025
If the humidifier’s boil-dry protector tripped on your ESPEC Climate chamber, it means the humidifier surface temperature rose too high. Turn the Chamber Run Switch off. Check the water level in the humidifying tray water level regulator. Allow the chamber to cool down for a while. Then, press the Fault Reset switch and turn the Chamber Run Switch back to the run position to resume testing. If the issue persists, call for service.

If the thermal protector in the air circulator motor tripped in your ESPEC Climate chamber, it means the air circulator motor is overloaded, possibly due to a fan or fan shaft obstruction. To resolve this, turn the Chamber Run Switch off. Remove any obstructions from the shaft or fan and let the chamber cool down. Afterward, press the Fault Reset switch to reset the alarm and turn the Chamber Run Switch back to the run position. Resume testing. If the alarm triggers again, call for service.

Why does the ESPEC BTZ-133's test area temperature exceed the overheat protector setting?
    • J
      James DawsonSep 1, 2025
If the ESPEC Climate chamber test area temperature exceeds the overheat/over-cool protector setting, it could be due to heat generated by specimens or an improperly set overheat protector. Turn OFF the Chamber Run Switch. Remove any heat sources and increase the overheat protector setting. Then, press the Fault Reset switch to clear the alarm and turn the Chamber Run Switch back to the run position. If the alarm persists, call for service. Alternatively, ensure the test area door and cable port are closed and reduce any excessive cooling sources. Then, press the Fault Reset switch to reset the alarm and turn the Chamber Run Switch to the run position to resume testing. If the alarm occurs again, call for service.
