Do you have a question about the ewheels EW-32 and is the answer not in the manual?
The EW-32 is a three-wheeled electric mobility scooter designed for personal transportation, offering a blend of comfort, power, and safety features. It is suitable for individuals seeking an accessible and reliable mode of transport for daily activities.
The EW-32 is designed for ease of use and rider comfort.
Turning on the Power: To activate the scooter, insert the key into the ignition and turn it clockwise. Turning the key one more time clockwise will activate the headlight. The battery indicator will display the current charge level. To power off, turn the key counter-clockwise until it stops.
Battery Power Indicator Lights: The scooter features four lights that indicate the current charge level: full, half, low, and empty. These lights are only displayed when the scooter is turned on.
Headlight: Equipped with multiple bright LED's, the headlight can be adjusted upwards or downwards by applying light pressure to the headset and pushing in the desired direction, ensuring visibility and safety during operation.
Forward/Reverse and Horn: The forward/reverse and horn buttons are located on the left side of the handlebar. Pushing the red button inwards activates reverse, while clicking it back out activates forwards. The green horn button will sound only when the scooter's power is turned on.
Emergency Brake: An emergency brake mechanism is located on the left-hand side hand brake. To engage, pull and hold the brake handle, then push the emergency brake pin downwards, and release the brake handle before releasing the pin. The spring-actuated lock arm will automatically secure the pin. To disengage, squeeze the left brake handle, push the lock arm away from the pin, and the pin will return to its original position, keeping the scooter stationary when not in use.
Kill Switch and High/Low Switch: A kill switch, when clicked inwards, disables the throttle. This allows for the use of the Bluetooth music playback feature without accidental throttle engagement.
Bluetooth Radio: The Bluetooth speaker is integrated into the headset. It automatically starts when the scooter is turned on. To connect, turn on Bluetooth on your compatible device, scan for "Bluetooth," and pair. No password is required.
USB Port: A USB port is available for recharging electric devices. Music can also be played back through the USB port. The port is accessed by pulling back the aqua-colored cover.
Swiveling Seat: The seat swivel lever is located underneath the seat on the right-hand side. To swivel the seat, adjust it all the way forward to avoid hitting the rear basket. Failure to do so may cause damage to the seat.
Folding Front Tiller: The front tiller can be folded for transport or storage. To fold, slide the black clamp ring tab away from the silver release handle, then pull the top of the release handle away and downwards.
Charging Instructions: The smart charger will automatically shut off when the scooter is fully charged. A green light indicates a full charge, while a red light signifies charging. Overcharging is prevented by unplugging the charger within two hours of a full charge. Charging time can take up to 8 hours from an empty battery.
Batteries and Battery Maintenance: Only recommended batteries should be used. Batteries can be charged as needed without causing damage. Avoid leaving the charger connected for extended periods to prevent damage. The recommended battery type is (4) 12 volt, 20 AH, Deep Cycle, Maintenance Free, Sealed Lead Acid. Automotive starter batteries are not suitable. Batteries should be charged in a well-ventilated area and the charger is for indoor use only. All batteries should be replaced simultaneously if weak. To prevent deterioration, recharge the scooter at least once a month when not in use.
Ramps and Curbs: The ramp surface should be roughened to prevent slipping. Avoid driving across a slope or turning sharply on one. When driving up curbs, ensure the height does not exceed 4". Always go forward up ramps and curbs. Avoid stopping completely over small objects or obstructions.
General Safety: Always keep feet on the scooter while riding. Do not exceed the 350 lbs weight capacity. Do not attempt to lift or move the scooter by its removable parts, as this can cause personal injury or damage. Adhere to the scooter's limitations as described in the manual. Do not connect any electrical or mechanical device to the scooter, as this may void the warranty. Always comply with local laws and regulations.
Use While Under the Influence of Medication or Alcohol: Consult a physician if taking medication that may affect the ability to operate the scooter safely. Do not operate the scooter under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any substance that impairs the ability to operate it safely.
Safety Requirements: The EW-32 offers good stability under normal driving conditions (dry, level ground with concrete or asphalt). Extra care is needed on other surfaces (grass, gravel, etc.). Do not exceed the specified climbing angle or operate the scooter without fully reading the manual. Always turn the scooter off before getting on or off. Avoid driving in loose gravel, covered soil, and sandstone. Do not drive in unknown road conditions. The scooter can navigate small obstacles within a certain height, but minimize speed and drive slowly over obstacles. Do not operate under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Do not park on steep slopes. Changing the initial setting or refitting the scooter is forbidden. Use caution when operating near busy streets, markets, or shopping centers. Do not operate in unsafe areas. Consult local authorities about traffic rules. Hold the handlebar with both hands and place both feet on the floorboard while driving. Never sit on the scooter in a moving vehicle. Do not drive on uneven slopes or uneven ground; be careful when passing over slopes. Never take the scooter on an escalator. Do not operate on frozen, slippery, or salty roads. Never let the batteries freeze; do not charge when frozen. Do not let the batteries completely die. When low, do not sit for extended periods or damage may occur. Always use required safety equipment. Do not modify or change the electrical system and frame, as this voids the warranty.
Regular Maintenance: Always check the scooter for normal operation, loose parts, and defects before operating. If a problem is found, have it repaired. Keep the scooter clean and dry. Do not use a high-pressure water sprayer; instead, use a damp sponge or cloth. Do not immerse any components in water. Always check the scooter for wear or damage to the tires. Keep tires inflated to their recommended pressure. Regularly check tires for wear, cracks, nails, or other damage. Replace them when damaged. Failure to maintain tire pressure can cause premature wear and lead to damage or personal injury.
Use Within a Motor Vehicle: Do not sit in or operate the scooter in a motor vehicle such as a train, bus, or large van. Stow or rack your scooter according to the motor vehicle's guidelines before entering or when entering the motor vehicle. Never sit in your scooter while it is in or on a motor vehicle that is operating or in motion.
Batteries: Do not use automotive batteries. Always charge the scooter's batteries in a well-ventilated area. E-Wheels recommends periodically charging your batteries, such as once a month, when your scooter is not in regular use. Ensure the switch is in the off position when the batteries are charged. Ensure the power plug is inserted and plugged firmly into the battery during charging. Do not use an extension cord while charging the batteries. Do not use a battery that is cracked, leaking, or otherwise damaged. Do not use your scooter if the battery is cracked, leaking, or otherwise damaged. Keep tools and other metal elements away from the contact terminals of the batteries. Remove the batteries when transporting your scooter.
Modifications to the Scooter: Do not disassemble or modify your scooter on your own. Do not remove or disable any element or feature of your scooter. Do not modify the programmable controller governing the scooter's electric, electronic, and electro-mechanical operations. While there are a wide range of aftermarket products available to modify and alter scooters, some may make your scooter more dangerous to operate or may impair your ability to operate the scooter safely. E-Wheels makes no claim or warranty as to the safety, effectiveness, and operability of any aftermarket products added to your scooter, or as to any modification you make or have made to your scooter, which are not performed by E-Wheels or E-Wheels approved vendors. E-Wheels is not responsible for damage to the scooter or personal injury caused by disassembly, modification, or other alteration of your scooter.
