Overview

The EW-52 is a power scooter designed for personal mobility, offering a blend of convenience, safety, and user-friendly features. It is intended for individuals seeking an efficient and comfortable way to navigate various terrains.

Function Description:

The EW-52 serves as a personal mobility device, powered by an electric motor and controlled via a twist throttle. It is equipped with a comprehensive instrument panel that provides essential information to the rider, including speed, battery status, temperature, and turn signal indicators. The scooter supports multiple speed settings, allowing the user to adjust the pace according to their preference and environment. A key start mechanism ensures secure operation, while an emergency brake handle provides an additional layer of safety. The scooter also features a music system for entertainment during rides.

Usage Features:

The EW-52 is designed with several features to enhance the user experience:

  • Instrument Panel: The digital dash displays critical information such as turn signal indicators, temperature, battery status, hazard lights, clock function, speed (KPH), and cruise control status. It also includes indicators for bright lights, left and right turn signals, horn, high beam light, low beam, and slow speed.
  • Music System: The integrated music system allows for entertainment on the go. It includes controls for volume up/down, previous/next song/station, and play/pause. An LED indicator confirms when the radio is active.
  • Initial Operation: Before operating, users are advised to read the owner's manual, insert the key into the ignition (or use remote start), set the digital speed to the lowest setting (D1), turn on the lights, adjust mirrors, place both hands on the hand grips, and slowly twist the throttle.
  • Variable Speed Control: The scooter offers multiple speed settings. The "S" button activates a slow speed. The "D" button allows selection of three different speed functions: D1 for slow speed (press once), D2 for moderate speed (press twice), and D3 for the fastest speed (press three times).
  • Cruise Control: Located under the digital dash, the "Cruise" button allows the user to fix the scooter's speed at the current pace. This feature remains active until the brake pedal is pressed.
  • Twist Throttle: To operate, the user simply places their hand on the throttle and twists it towards them. The amount of twist directly controls the scooter's speed.
  • Emergency Brake Handle: To activate, the foot pedal must first be depressed to alleviate tension from the brake lines. While keeping the pedal depressed, pull the handle out towards you in the vertical position. To deactivate, push the foot brake down again and follow the "Push Button and Turn" instructions on the handle while pushing it back into its housing.
  • Seat Latch Release: To release the seat, insert the key into the ignition and turn it counter-clockwise (left) without pushing inwards. Resistance will be felt until it hits a stopping point. While holding the key in this position, lift the back of the seat (underneath the backrest) to release the latch. The seat assembly will then lift towards the front column.
  • Trunk Access: To open the trunk, insert the ignition key and turn it counter-clockwise. While keeping the key turned (without pushing it in), pull the seat forward.
  • Key Fob: The key fob includes buttons for activating and deactivating the alarm (press once for each function), and a panic button. Pressing twice activates the remote start feature.
  • Clock Adjustment: The "reset button" allows switching between hours and minutes. Once the desired segment is selected, the "select" button changes the digits. After changing a digit, press "reset" again to move to the next digit.
  • Safety Guidelines: Always use a seatbelt and keep feet on the scooter. Do not exceed the maximum weight capacity. Avoid lifting or moving the scooter by its removable parts. Do not operate if not functioning properly or connect unauthorized electrical/mechanical devices. Reduce speed on sharp turns. Do not switch off power while moving forward.
  • Ramps and Curbs: Ensure ramp surfaces are roughened to prevent slipping. Avoid driving across or turning sharply on slopes. When driving up curbs, ensure the height does not exceed 4 inches.
  • Medication and Alcohol: Consult a physician if taking medication that may affect safe operation. Do not operate under the influence of alcohol.

Maintenance Features:

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and safe operation of the EW-52:

  • Batteries and Charger: The scooter uses deep-cycle, sealed lead-acid (SLA) or gel cell batteries (12V each, 5 total). These batteries are designed for deep discharge and quick recharging. They should be charged as often as possible.
  • Charging Procedure: Plug the charger into an electric wall outlet, then insert the charger port into the scooter's charging plug (located on the front/side under the seat). A red light indicates charging, and a green light indicates a full charge. Do not exceed 8 hours of charging time.
  • Battery Care: Do not use automotive batteries. Always charge batteries in well-ventilated areas. The charger is for indoor use only. For optimal performance, replace all five batteries simultaneously if they are weak. If the scooter is stored for extended periods, recharge the batteries at least once a month to prevent deterioration. Recharge batteries only when the key is in the off position and the indicator shows low status.
  • Environmental Conditions: The scooter is susceptible to damage from water (rain, sleet, snow), which can cause electronic malfunction or premature corrosion of electrical components and the frame. Avoid exposure to water.
  • Warranty: The EW-52 comes with a limited warranty: 2 years for the frame, 1 year for electronic components, and 3 years for controllers. Batteries, consumables (wheels, tires, arm pads, seat cushions), and labor costs are not covered. The warranty starts from the product's arrival date and does not cover damage or defects resulting from misuse.
