Why is the Optical Laser LED off on my EXFO FTB-800 Test Equipment?

If the Optical Laser LED is off and the EXFO Test Equipment connector isn't generating a signal, it might be due to the interface type not being set to Optical. Ensure that the Interface Type is set to Optical. Another cause could be a configuration mismatch between the inserted SFP and the current interface speed. Make sure the SFP supports the current interface speed. Finally, the SFP might not be compatible with the FTB-860/880 NetBlazer Series; ensure you are using a compatible SFP.
