Checkthebeltsforcracks,frayededges,burnmarks,
oranyotherdamage.Replacedamagedbelts.
ReplacingtheMowerBelt
Squealingwhenthebeltisrotating,bladesslipping
whencuttinggrass,frayedbeltedges,burnmarks,
andcracksaresignsofawornmowerbelt.Replace
themowerbeltifanyoftheseconditionsareevident.
1.Parkmachineonlevelground,disengagetheblade
controlswitch,engagetheparkingbrake,stop
engine,andremovekey.Waitforallmovingparts
tostopbeforeleavingtheoperator’sposition.
2.Settheheightofcutatthelowestcuttingposition
[11/2inch(38mm)].
3.Removeandretainthebeltcovers.
4.Usingaspringremovaltool,(P/N92-5771),
removetheidlerspringfromthedeckhookto
removetensionontheidlerpulleyandrollthe
beltoffofthepulleys.
