Introduction
CongratulationsonyourpurchaseoftheModelIRT600DewPointTemperatureDetector!The
IRT600iscapableofdisplayingAirTemperature(AT),SurfaceTemperature(ST),Relative
Humidity(RH),andDewPointTemperature(DP)andcananalyzethepotentialformildew.The
LEDlampabovetheLCDdisplaychangescolortoindicatethe potentialformildew:green(no
mildew),yelloworamber(lowtomoderateprobabilityofmildew),andred(highprobabilityof
mildew).
TheIRT600measuresSurfaceTemperatureusinganinfrared(IR)sensorandincludesdualred
laserpointersforimprovedtargeting.TheIRsensorhasa 12:1DistancetoSpotratio.
Thismeans
thatatarget30cmawayfromthemeterhasaspotdiameterof1.25cm,atarget45cmawayhas
aspotdiameterof3.75cm,andsoon.Theclosertothetarget,thesmallerthespotsizeandthe
furtheraway,thelargerthespotsize(verymuchlikeaflashlightbeambehaveswithregardto
distance‐to‐spotratio).
TheAirTemperatureandRelativeHumidityaremeasuredbytheinternalsensorsatthetopof
themeter.DewPointTemperatureiscalculatedusingAirTemperatureandRelativeHumidity
measurements.MildewanalysisisbasedoncalculationsmadefromAir
Temperature,Surface
Temperature,DewPointTemperature,andRelativeHumidityvalues.

Useanappropriate(9V)batterytopowerthemeter.
