Ifthesurfacetemperaturelieswithintheupperthirdtemperaturerangebetweentheair
temperatureandthedewpointtemperature,theLEDwillbegreen,indicatingthatthesurface
temperatureandhumidityarebothnormalandmildewisunlikely(seediagram).
Ifthesurfacetemperaturelieswithinthemiddlethirdtemperaturerangebetweentheair
temperatureandthedewpointtemperature,theLEDwillbeyellow(amber),indicatingthat
thereisalowtomoderatepotentialformildew.
Ifthesurfacetemperaturelieswithinthebottomthirdtemperaturerangebetweentheair
temperatureandthedewpointtemperature,theLEDwillbered,indicatingthatthereisahigh
probabilityofmildewpresentonthesurfaceundertest.
Forexample,iftheairtemperatureis25°Candtherelativehumidityis50%,thedewpoint
temperatureis13.8°C.Inthisexample,thelightwouldbegreenwhenthesurfacetemperatureis
between25and21.3°C;ayellowlightwouldindicateasurfacetemperaturebetween21.2and
17.4°C;andaredlightwouldindicatea surfacetemperaturebetween17.3and13.8°C.
BatteryReplacement

Toreplacethebattery:
1. Openthebatterycover(locatedonthehandlegrip)
2. Carefullyremovethebattery
3. Installnew9Vbattery
4. Closethebatterycoverbeforeusingthemeter
Neverdisposeofusedbatteriesorrechargeable
batteriesinhouseholdwaste.
Asconsumers,usersarelegallyrequiredtotakeused
batteriestoappropriatecollectionsites,theretailstorewherethebatterieswere
purchased,orwhereverbatteriesaresold.
Disposal:Donotdisposeofthisinstrumentinhouseholdwaste.Theuseris
obligatedtotake
endoflifedevicestoadesignatedcollectionpointforthedisposalofelectricalandelectronic
equipment.
BatterySafetyReminders
