UnderstandingthePH90Display
Whenanelectrodeisplacedinasolution,themaindisplayindicates thepHreadingwhilethe
lowerdisplayshowstemperature.
pHCalibration
Atwopointcalibrationwithabufferof7and4or10(whicheverisnearesttotheexpected
samplevalue)isalwaysrecommended.Forbestaccuracy,alwayscalibrateatthesample
temperature.
1. CheckthatthepHiconisdisplayedontheLCD.
2. DiptheelectrodeintothepH7
buffersolution.Stirgentlyandwaitforastablereading.
3. PressandholdtheCALbutton(3)toentercalibrationmode.
4. TheLCDwilldisplaytheCALiconandthenflash7.00.
5. WhencalibrationiscompletethemeterwillstopflashingandindicateSAandEND.
6. Rinsetheelectrodewithcleantap waterandwipedry.
7. DiptheelectrodeinpH4(orpH10)buffersolution.
8. Stirgentlyandwaituntilthedisplayisstable.
9. PressandholdtheCALbuttontoentercalibrationmode.
10. TheLCDwilldisplaytheCALiconand
thenflash4.00or10.00.
11. Whencalibrationiscompletethemeterwillstopflashingandindicate%(percentofslope),
SAandEND.
12. AfterthecalibrationofpH4orpH10,thedisplaywillindicatetheslopepercentage(PTS),
indicatingthestatusoftheelectrode.
13. Ifthe
PTSis<70%or>130%theelectrodemustbereplaced.Aslopeof100%isideal.
