In rapids using a leash is not allowed, this can be dangerous because it can stay blocked into rocks
or other things. A flotation aid is mandatory. Closed shoes must be worn. A helmet is required in
class 3 rapids or if the conditions make it necessary. The rules particular to each zone should be
respected.
3. IN RIVERS (RAPIDS)
It is recommended to wear a wetsuit when the
water is below 20°.
When practicing long distance itineraries it is re-
commended to always go with at least 2 people.
It’s recommended to have a tow ring set up on
your board.
RECOMMANDATIONS
In the center of the valve is a stem that
controls the opening and closing of the valve.
To open the valve, press it and turn a quarter
turn to lock it in the open position. To shut the
valve, turn it a quarter of a turn in the other
direction and let the rod come out partially.
Before connecting the pump, make sure the
valve is in the closed position (be careful, if
the rod is down, the valve is opened and the
board will deflate immediately once the pump
is disconnected). To connect the pump, insert
the tip and turn a quarter of a turn so that the
hooks of the tip slide under the bridges that hold
the central rod. The tip thus becomes one with
the valve. Once this is the case, you can start
inflating the board.
The pump delivered with your inflatable F-ONE
board allows a very efficient inflation. A small
valve is on the top of the main cylinder. If the
valve is closed, the pump sends air during the
descent and ascent, this is the double action
mode. If the valve is open, the pump only sends
air at the descent, this is the single action
mode. The dual action mode allows a faster
inflatable and the single action mode allows an
easier inflatable to high pressure. In general, it
is possible to start inflating the board in double
action mode, then remove the screw from the
valve to finish in single action world when the
pressure becomes important.
To inflate your F-ONE board, unroll it on the ground. The board must be placed with the top up.
Open the valve cap by turning it a quarter of a turn. You can then access the valve.
17 PSI inflation pressure is recommended for
inflatable boards in F-ONE range. It is recom-
mended not to inflate below 15 PSI (insufficient
rigidity) and not to exceed 21 PSI (risk of da-
mage)
Once you have reached the desired pressure,
turn the end of the pipe a quarter of a turn to
disengage it from the valve of the board. You can
then replace the valve cap to protect it from sand
and outdoor elements.
