Overview

This document serves as a Quick Start Guide for the 3LVF-635 and 3LVF-635X dishwasher models, providing essential information for initial setup, operation, and maintenance. It is intended to be used in conjunction with the detailed dishwasher Operating Instructions, which should be consulted for comprehensive safety guidelines and usage information.

Device Description and Functionality

The dishwasher is designed to automate the cleaning of dishes, offering various wash programs to suit different soil levels and types of tableware. It features a multi-level basket system for efficient loading, including a cutlery basket, upper basket, and lower basket. Water is distributed through spray arms (top and bottom) to ensure thorough cleaning. Detergent and special salt are dispensed automatically during the wash cycle.

Key Components and Their Functions:

  • Tube: Likely refers to the main water inlet or outlet tube.
  • Top Arm & Bottom Spray Arm: These components rotate and spray water to clean dishes on the upper and lower baskets, respectively.
  • Salt Container: Holds special dishwasher salt, which is essential for softening hard water and preventing limescale buildup, thereby improving cleaning performance and extending the appliance's lifespan. The dishwasher includes an indicator on the control panel to alert the user when salt needs to be refilled.
  • Filter Assembly: Collects food particles and debris during the wash cycle to prevent them from recirculating and redepositing on dishes. Regular cleaning of the filter assembly is crucial for optimal performance.
  • Dispenser (Detergent Dispenser): Automatically releases the appropriate amount of detergent at the correct stage of the wash cycle. It is opened by pressing a latch.
  • Cutlery Basket: A dedicated basket for holding forks, knives, spoons, and other small utensils, ensuring they are properly cleaned and do not interfere with the spray arms.
  • Top Spray Arm: Specifically for cleaning items in the upper basket.
  • Mugs and Cups Shelf: Adjustable shelves within the upper basket designed to hold mugs, cups, and smaller bowls securely.
  • Lower Basket: The primary basket for larger items such as plates, serving dishes, and pots.
  • Upper Basket: Designed for glasses, cups, smaller plates, and bowls.
  • Inner Tube: Possibly refers to an internal water conduit.
  • Main Filter: Part of the filter assembly, responsible for trapping larger food particles.
  • Water Supply Hose Connection: Where the dishwasher connects to the household water supply.
  • Water Drain Hose: Carries wastewater away from the dishwasher to the household drain.
  • Regulator: Potentially controls water pressure or other operational parameters.

Usage Features:

The dishwasher offers a straightforward operational sequence:

  1. Turn on: Close the door and press the on/off button.
  2. Dispense Detergent: Open the dispenser latch and add detergent.
  3. Check Special Salt Level: Refill salt when the indicator on the control panel illuminates.
  4. Load Dishes: Remove food leftovers, then load dishes according to guidelines, starting with the lower basket, then the upper basket.
  5. Select Wash Programme: Choose a program, and its indicator will light up. Press Start/Pause to begin.
  6. Start Dishwasher: Close the door; the program will start automatically.
  7. Turn off: Press Start/Pause to end the cycle.
  8. Remove Dishes: After the cycle, open the door and wait approximately 15 minutes before unloading. This aids drying and reduces the risk of cracking hot dishes.
