  Insufficient binding strength in your Fastbind Binding Machine can result from several factors. Ensure you apply adhesive at the correct speed, completing the full cycle in 4-6 seconds or 3-4 seconds for a single back-and-forth motion. Begin nipping 1-2 seconds after adhesive application and compress for 5-7 seconds. Use Fastbind hot melt type 1 adhesive and maintain an applicator temperature of 170-180 °C. Binding along the paper fiber direction also yields the best results.

Regularly clean the leveling plate and back support, ensuring the clamp is fully locked. Use the H-nipping tool for hard covers and the S-nipping tool for soft covers. Ensure the nipping tool is properly aligned parallel to the back support and use the adjustment screws to eliminate any clearance.

Check the adhesive reservoir for any foreign objects and remove them. Note that if the machine is left on but unused for an extended period, the adhesive may degrade, turning into a plastic-like substance that blocks the roller. In such cases, contact your dealer.
