INTRODUCTION
1. GENERAL
A. This Maintenance Manual has been prepared in accordance with Standard 100 of the AIR
TRANSPORT OF AMERICA (Standard ATA 100).
B. This Manual provides all necessary information for reconditioning and also overhauling the item of
equipment concerned. The operations described can only be performed in workshops possessing
the special test benches and tools.
C. This Manual does not cover standard practices, it does not specify schedules or give information in
respect of workshop equipment likely to differ from one repair workshop to another.

B. All values are generally given in units (or multiples or sub-multiples of these units) which belong
to the Systems International (S.I.), such as meter, kilogram, second. In certain cases, values may be
given in more commonly-used units. English equivalents are given in parentheses.
3. REVISION
Detailed instructions with regard to insertion and deletion of affected pages will be given whenever this
Manual is revised. Revised texts, new texts or deleted texts are located by a vertical black line in the
margin.
