19. For:
Single Shell Pumps:
Skip this step.
Two Shell Pumps:
Install the series spacer and carefully lower
the series shell over the stages using safe
lifting and handling methods. Align the shell
ange with the inlet ange (serial number
stamping opposite to inlet). Install the shell
ange bolts/ lock washers and torque to val-
ue specied in the Fastener Torque Speci-
cations section of this manual.
NOTES: Make sure there is no gap between
anges after tightening bolts.

18. For:
Single Shell Pumps:
Continue to assemble pump stages as de-
scribed in previous steps until all end shell
stages have been assembled.
Two Shell Pumps:
Continue to assemble pump stages as
described in previous steps until all series
shell stages have been assembled.
NOTES: Verify di󰀨user bushings have been
pre-installed before assembly.
NOTES: The last end shell stage component
will be a di󰀨user assembly without an impeller.

16. Remove the two (2) spacer washers from
between the di󰀨user assembly and the inlet
ring. This will allow the di󰀨user to drop to
the inlet and provide the proper impeller
clearance.
17. Install the second stage di󰀨user assembly
and place the two (2) spacer washers ap-
proximately 2.8mm (0.11”) thick between
the di󰀨user assemblies.
