Operation
The control panel on the housing top consists of the control panel button, and indicator LEDs.
Power Turns on the shredder and illuminates the power LED. This also enables the shredder to start shredding
paper.
Reverse Runs the shredder in reverse mode. Press and hold to activate.
Indicator LEDs
The 3140S/4850S and 3140C/4850C have three indicator LEDs on the Control panel.
Door open Disengages power to the motor until cabinet door is properly closed. Door icon will light up red until
door is properly closed.
Safety Flap Disengages power to the motor until the safety flap on the throat insert is in the down position.
