Introduction to Fender Powered Mixers

Input Channel Control Functions

Effects Control Knob

Controls the amount of signal sent to the overall effects mix. Setting to 0 results in a dry output.

High Frequency Tone Control

Adjusts the amount of high frequency boost or cut in the channel. Flat when set to 0.

Mid Frequency Tone Control

Adjusts the amount of middle frequency boost or cut in the channel.

Low Frequency Tone Control

Adjusts the amount of low frequency boost or cut in the channel.

Monitor Send Control

Controls the amount of signal sent to the monitor mix. Setting to 0 sends no signal.

Channel Level Control

Adjusts the volume control of the individual channel for the main mix.

Input Channel Connections

Line Input Jack

1/4 inch TRS balanced input for line-level sources like keyboards or drum machines.

Microphone Input Jack

Three-pin XLR balanced female connector for low-impedance microphones.

Patch Bay Panel Connections

Main Output (MAIN OUT)

Unbalanced line-level output for feeding external power amplifiers or mixers.

Power Amp 1 Input (PA 1 IN)

Input for feeding an external signal to Power Amp 1, overriding internal connection.

Monitor Output (MON OUT)

Unbalanced line-level output for feeding monitor systems.

Power Amp 2 Input (PA 2 IN)

Input for feeding an external signal to Power Amp 2, overriding internal connection.

Effects Out; Footswitch

Output for external effects units or footswitch control of internal reverb.

Effects Input (EFFECTS IN)

Input for receiving signal from external processing devices.

Master Control Panel Functions

EQ Assign Button

Switches the graphic equalizer between the main and monitor buses.

Graphic Equalizer

Nine-band graphic equalizer for adjusting frequencies across the audio spectrum.

Phantom Power

Activates +48V DC Phantom Power for condenser microphones.

Power LED Indicator

Illuminates when the SRM 6302 / 8302 unit is powered on.

PA 2 Assign Button

Assigns the second power amplifier to the main or monitor bus.

Tape;Effects Return to Monitor

Adjusts tape/effects signal level sent to the monitor mix.

Tape;Effects Return to Main

Adjusts tape/effects signal level sent to the main mix.

Main Output Volume Control

Controls the main output volume affecting Main Out, PA1, and PA2.

Reverb Return to Monitor Control

Adjusts reverb signal level sent to the monitor mix.

Reverb Return to Main Control

Adjusts reverb signal level sent to the main mix.

Monitor Output Volume Control

Controls the monitor output volume affecting Mon Out, PA1, and PA2.

Effects Send Control

Adjusts signal level for effects out and reverb drive.

Record Output (REC OUT)

Adjusts the tape out signal level, fed by the Main Out signal.

Tape Input and Output Jacks

Tape Input (TAPE IN)

RCA input jacks for connecting tape players or CD players for stereo input.

Tape Output (TAPE OUT)

RCA output jacks for connecting to a tape recorder.

Rear Panel Connections

Speaker Outputs (PA 1 OUT; PA 2 OUT)

Speaker-level outputs for main or monitor enclosures, minimum 4 ohms impedance.

Power Switch (POWER)

Turns the AC power ON and OFF for the unit.

Supply Cord

Grounding type supply cord to reduce shock hazard; ensure proper ventilation.
