1.3.16 Handrails

Use appropriate safety precautions
when working o the ground.
Point your body in the direction of the ladder and
use the handrails when you are on the machine
ladders. Always keep three points of contact with
the ladder.

1.3.17 Header safety
WARNING: Shafts that turn can cause
entanglement
Serious injury and death can occur
Stay away from the header if the
combine engine is on.
Do not operate the machine if there are persons
near the machine.
If the header is plugged, do not try to manually
remove the plug if the engine is running. Stop the
engine, apply the parking brake, and take the key
with you. Manually remove the material only if the
feeder reverser can not remove the material.
