Congratulations on having chosen the VEGA cats and
small dogs fountain. It has been designed by Ferplast to
promote healthy pets, encouraging them to drink more.
Using it will be very easy. You will need only a few
minutes for product maintenance to keep the water
always clean and crystal clean.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS CAREFULLY
BEFORE USING THE PRODUCT
· Ensure that the voltage shown on adapter corresponds
to that of your home electrical power supply.
· Disconnect the appliance from the power supply
before carrying out any maintenance work.
· Do not connect the pump to the power supply before
filling the bowl with water.
IMPORTANT: never let the pump working
without water!
· The temperature of the liquid must not exceed 35° C.
· The water level should always be over the minimum
water level shown on the product.
· The supply cable of the pump and of the adapter
cannot be repaired or replaced: if damaged, the whole
appliance (pump and adapter) must be replaced.
Never cut the supply cable.
· The product is intended only for indoor use.
· Connect the plug to your electric power supply leaving
a loop in the cable below the electrical socket to
prevent drops of water running down the cable and
into the power supply.
· Before switching on make sure your home is protected
by an automatic safety breaker switch (or individual
breaker plug) with an operating current of no more
than 30 mA.
· This product is not suitable for use by children or
disabled persons without supervision.
· This fountain for cats and small dogs and it is only
suitable for the purpose it is intended for.
· Ensure that the power cable is placed so that not to be
bitten or damaged by your pet.
Installing the product
· Connect the pump to the pipe and this one to its
housing inside the fountain slide (1-2) and press it
well down.
· Insert the supply cable through the hole in the rear
part of the fountain slide (3).
· Put the 4 rubber feet in their housing on the bottom of
the bowl (4).
· Before inserting the active carbon filters in their
housing rinse them under tap water in order to remove
dust and excess carbon (5).
· Assemble the slide to the bowl (6).
· Insert the supply cable into its housing in the rear part
of the bowl (7).
· Fill the bowl with water.
· Connect the pump supply cable to the adapter and this
one to the socket.
IMPORTANT: never connect the pump to the
power supply before filling the bowl with
water.
How to adjust the pump flow rate
· Disconnect the pump power cable from the adapter.
· Take the slide away from the bowl by slightly pulling it
upwards (8).
· Adjust the flow rate by using the small lever (11).
· Reassemble the product following the steps in the
reverse way.
Product maintenance
· Regularly check that the water level is always over the
minimum water level shown on the product; if not,
immediately add water.
· Periodically clean the entrance water grids and check
that they are not obstructed.
· Check the filters weekly and if they are obstructed
rinse them under water.
· It is recommended to replace the filter every month,
or when it is clearly obstructed.
· Check periodically the pump working condition and if
necessary clean it; it is recommended to clean it very 3
months.
Filter cleaning and replacing
· Disconnect the pump supply cable from the adapter
cable.
· Take the slide away from the bowl pulling it slightly
upwards (8).
· Remove the filter and rinse it or replace it with a new
one.
· Reassemble the product following the steps in the
reverse way.
Pump maintenance
· Disconnect the pump supply cable from the adapter
cable.
· Take the slide away from the bowl pulling it slightly
upwards (8).
· Take the pipe away from the pump (9).
· Remove the pump cover, remove the rotor and clean it
using a small soft brush under warm water (do not use
detergents or abrasives) (10).
· Reassemble the product following the steps in the
reverse way.
WARRANTY. Ferplast guarantees this product within
the limits of the present clause and of the current legal
regulation. The guarantee is valid only against
manufacturing faults and it includes free product
repair or replacement. The guarantee is not valid for
damage and/or faults caused by negligence, wear,
improper use, accidents, tempering, incorrect repairs,
purchase not confirmed by receipt. Filters are excluded
from product warranty. They are available as spare kit.
IMPORTANT - Within the European Union, a
crossed-out wheelie bin symbol on the product,
documentation or packaging indicates that the
product cannot be disposed of in the regular
household waste stream, in compliance with EU
Directive 2012/19/EC and with current local
regulations. The product must be disposed of at
recycling centres or authorised waste disposal
centres for electrical and electronic equipment, in
accordance with current legislation in the country
