4. Reassemble the spool assembly by rstly
centralising the compression spring in the base
of the spool housing, then replacing the spool on
top of the spring followed by replacing the spool
cover on the spool (Fig AF).
NOTE: When replacing the spool cover, ensure
the clips of the spool housing align with the spool
cover. When the spool cover is located on the spool
housing, push down rmly on the cover to ensure
the clips have engaged on the cover and the cover
cannot pull o.
5. Check the removed line for damages, or use new
line. Reload new line onto the spool as per the
previous section “Changing the line only on the
Spool and Line Assembly”.
Prior to operating the line trimmer after line has
been added, it is suggested to trim the lines so
they are even and just short of the cutting blade
on the guard. This prevents a possible large
section of line being trimmed at high speed.
When you start the line trimmer, bump the head
of the spool on the ground to enable the cut o
knife on the guard to cut the line to the required
length for use.
