Cleaning
NOTICEWater could cause damage to the electrical
components of this unit.
• Do not use a pressure washer on the unit.
• Do not clean the unit with water.
Use a cloth, low pressure air (not to exceed 30 psi or 205
kPa), or a soft bristle brush and vacuum cleaner to remove
dirt and debris from the rider and mower deck.
Always use eye protection (goggles or a face shield) to clean
with pressurized air.
Storage
Equipment Storage
Disengage the PTO, lock the ground speed levers in the
START/PARK position, engage the parking brake, and
remove the key.
Store the unit in a cool, dry place.
Before starting the unit after it has been stored:
• Do a check of all maintenance items.
• Do all recommended checks and procedures found in
this manual.
Battery Storage
WARNING
Use and keep the battery in an area with good airflow,
away from sparks, open flames, or excessive heat.
NOTICEIncorrect storage can cause battery damage,
permanent loss of battery capacity, or cause the battery to be
unserviceable. If a fully discharged battery is in storage,the
battery will become permanently unserviceable. Do not
exceed the storage temperature limits.
For storage up to 1 month, keep the equipment at the
recommended range of -20 °Cto +60 °C (-4 °Fto+140
°F).For storage up to 1 year, keep the equipment at the
recommended range of -20 °C to +25 °C (-4°F to+77°F).
If you keep the equipment outside the recommended
temperature range, decrease battery performance will occur,
and result in life cycle degradation.
NOTE:Long-term storage at temperatures less than 77 °F
(25 °C) is recommended.
Do not remove the battery or disconnect it from the
equipment.
Do not keep the battery in long-term storage with the battery
connected to the charger, or a reduction in battery cycle
lifecanoccur.
When thebattery is not used for more than a month,charge
or discharge it to a state of charge of 40-70%.
