Electrical Specifications:

The brewers use terminal block electrical connections for 50Hz or 60Hz. Various models are available for single-voltage (200-240V) and field-selectable voltage (200-240V, 1 or 3 phase), with different heater configurations (e.g., 2x3.0kW, 1x4.0kW, 1x5.0kW, 3x3.0kW, 3x4.0kW, 3x5.0kW), resulting in varying KW, maximum amp draw, and brew-volume per hour. Specific models are certified with cUL/UL & NSF-4, and Export CE models include an internal EMI filter.

Usage Features:

  • Touch-screen Interface: The brewer features a touch-screen for operation and programming, with an LED status indicator bar.
  • Brew Basket Sensor: Ensures the brew basket is correctly in place for safe operation.
  • Brewing Process:
    • Turn power switch "ON".
    • Prepare brew basket with correct filter and coffee amount (6-12 ounces or 170-340 grams for 1.5 gal/6 liters).
    • Slide brew basket into rails.
    • Place a clean, empty, preheated dispenser under the brew basket.
    • Select a batch and touch the corresponding BREW icon, then press "START".
    • A "STOP" icon illuminates, a countdown timer displays with a graphic circle icon, and the LED indicator pulses.
    • Brew icons for other brew heads are hidden, but opposite side brew icons on dual brewers remain active.
    • The spray icon extinguishes and the BREW circular icon remains when the cycle is finished, indicating coffee may still be dripping. Do not remove the brew basket until drip-out is complete.
  • Customizable Brew Parameters: Users can control brew volume, brew time, units of measure, recipe name, pulse count, prewet percentage, prewet delay, drip delay, and programmable energy saving.
  • Hot Water Service Faucet: Available on some models for dispensing hot water.
  • Eco Mode: Programmable idle time (1-6 hours) and Eco Tank temperature (158°F to 176°F) for energy saving.
  • Flow Rate Calibration: Allows adjustment of brew valve flow rates to compensate for variations and ensure accurate dispensed volumes.
  • Password Protection: Programming access is protected by a password.
  • Brew Basket Lock: Available to secure the brew basket during operation.

Maintenance Features:

  • Easy Access for Service: Layout for installing brewer (back side) shows access points for power cord, USB/Ethernet ports, and water inlet valve.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance (After Each Brew):
    • Dispose of grounds and rinse brew basket.
    • Rinse dispensers before reuse.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance (Every Day):
    • Wash brew basket with hot sudsy water.
    • Pull CSD from the spray head, wash off film (use vinegar for limescale), and reattach.
    • Clean dispensers with hot suds water and a brush, rinse, and air dry.
    • Use a soft cloth and hot suds on the exterior; avoid abrasives.
  • Cleaning & Maintenance (Weekly):
    • Use a commercial coffee dispenser cleaner (e.g., URNEX™, TABZ™, DIP-IT™, Squeak 'n Clean™).
    • Follow cleaning product instructions carefully.
    • Never use spray cleaners, solvent, solvent-based cleaner, or petroleum-based polish on dispensers.
  • Tank Drain: The hot water tank must be drained before maintenance or relocation. This involves disconnecting power and water, removing the front panel and tank cover, pinching the drain line clamp, and allowing water to flow into a sink or container.
  • Error Codes: The system provides error codes (e.g., software errors, temperature probe issues, fill errors, heating problems) with descriptions of possible causes and corrective actions, aiding in troubleshooting and service.
  • Backup & Restore Configuration: Allows saving and restoring programmed settings using a USB thumb drive.
  • Lifetime and Resettable Counters: Tracks usage data such as unit uptime, fill valve volume/activation, heater time on/activation, hot water dispense count/volume/activation, brew count/volume/activation, and bypass valve volume/activation. Resettable counters allow for tracking usage over specific periods.
  • Water Filter Life Time: Tracks the filter's life and allows for resetting.
  • Altitude Correction Chart: Provides guidance for adjusting brew water temperature based on altitude to optimize brewing.
  • Safety Features: Includes warnings about electrical connections, grounding, backflow prevention, and proper installation to prevent damage, injury, or voiding the warranty. The "Insert Brew Basket" safety feature prevents brewing if the basket is not in place. Overriding safety features is not recommended for normal operation and will display a warning.
