Why is my Fimco 3PT-65-6R-BL Paint Sprayer losing pressure?
    • L
      leenormaAug 3, 2025
A loss of pressure in your Fimco Paint Sprayer can occur due to several reasons. The suction strainer might be clogged, so check and clean it regularly. The suction hose could be kinked or blocked, requiring inspection and repair. An air leak in the inlet side plumbing could also be the culprit; check the hose and connections for leaks, using pipe joint sealant and retightening connections. Other potential causes include a relief valve setting that is too low or a weakened spring (check and correct the setting), a faulty gauge (replace it), pump seals leaking air (replace the seals), worn nozzle orifices (replace the nozzles), or a worn pump (repair it).

What to do if Fimco 3PT-65-6R-BL pump does not prime?
    • A
      Anthony JonesAug 7, 2025
If the pump on your Fimco Paint Sprayer doesn't prime, there are several potential causes and solutions. First, check the suction line for leaks in the hose and fittings. Next, inspect the hose for debris or a loose inner liner. Also, the suction strainer might be clogged, so clean it. If the suction hose is stuck to the bottom or side of the tank, cut a notch or 'V' in the end of it. An air lock in the pump can be cleared by running the pump with the discharge hose removed. If the pump is worn, it may need to be replaced or repaired. Similarly, if the rollers are stuck, disassemble the pump and inspect them. Finally, worn pump seals leaking air should be replaced.

Why Fimco 3PT-65-6R-BL Paint Sprayer pressure gauge fluctuates erratically?
    • S
      shannonprattAug 11, 2025
Erratic pressure gauge fluctuations in your Fimco Paint Sprayer can be caused by several issues. Check for an air leak in the suction line and tighten all fittings and hoses between the pump and tank. Debris in the valve or gauge can also cause this issue; remove and clean the parts. Additionally, a kinked or blocked suction hose can be the problem; remove the suction line and clean it, checking the tank and strainer. An air leak in the suction hose can also lead to fluctuations; tighten all fittings and replace the hose if necessary. If the suction hose has collapsed, replace it. Finally, ensure the suction hose is tightly secured and run the pump with the discharge hose removed to remove any air lock.

What to do if Fimco 3PT-65-6R-BL pump runs, but pressure is low?
    • M
      Mark ThompsonAug 16, 2025
If your Fimco Paint Sprayer pump runs but the pressure is low, several factors could be responsible. There might be debris in the suction line, so clear it. The hose could be kinked, so straighten or replace it if necessary. Worn rollers can also cause low pressure, so replace them. A clogged strainer can restrict flow, so clean it. The nozzle size may be too small or clogged, so clean or replace the nozzles. Finally, the inlet line might be too small or blocked, so clear any blockage and replace the hose if necessary.

How to fix excessive vibration or noisy pump in Fimco 3PT-65-6R-BL Paint Sprayer?
    • R
      Rachel ChavezAug 20, 2025
Excessive vibration or a noisy pump in your Fimco Paint Sprayer can stem from several causes. A loose coupler or damaged shaft can lead to these issues, so inspect the shaft and tighten the coupler. Excessive PTO or engine speed can also contribute, so reduce the speed. A rotor or internal problem might be present, requiring replacement of the rotor or pump. A partially clogged strainer can cause noise and vibration, so clean the strainer. Lastly, an air leak in the suction hose can be a factor, so inspect the hose and replace it if necessary.

Why Fimco Paint Sprayer pump will not turn?
    • M
      Melinda CopelandAug 25, 2025
If your Fimco Paint Sprayer pump won't turn, it could be due to corrosion (rust), scale, or residue. Try loosening the endplate bolts and squirting oil into the ports to help free the rotor, then retighten the bolts. Another possibility is a solid object lodged in the pump, requiring you to disassemble the pump and remove the object.

What causes a Fimco 3PT-65-6R-BL pump to leak?
    • P
      Paul BarnesAug 29, 2025
