What to do if Fimco PRO Paint Sprayer motor does not run?
    • M
      millermarkAug 19, 2025
If the motor of your Fimco Paint Sprayer isn't running, here are a few things to check: * Make sure the wiring connections are secure. * Ensure the 'ON/OFF' switch on the lead wire assembly is in the 'ON' position ('I'). 'O' is the 'OFF' position. * Verify the pressure switch isn't defective and that you're connected to a good 12-volt power source. Also, check that any on/off switches are in the 'on' position. * You can also remove the cap to the pressure switch, pull both red wires off of their terminals, and touch the two ends together. If your pump runs when you do this, your pressure switch will need to be replaced. * Inspect the fuse. * Check for low voltage at the power supply.

    • J
      Julie CraigSep 8, 2025
If the motor continues to run after the discharge is shut off on your Fimco Paint Sprayer, several issues could be the cause. First, ensure that your product supply is not empty. If your sprayer is equipped with a bypass valve, check to see if it's open. Low voltage could also be a factor. Inspect the discharge line for any leaks. Also, examine the check valve for defects or dirt, and check the pressure switch for any defects.
