Chimney Recommendations
The termination cap should
be designed to inhibit down-
drafting without restricting
the exhaust discharge.
Chimney experts have determined that the
chimney termination should be at least 2' above
the highest portion of the roof that is within a
10' radius of the chimney.
The diameter of the chimney stack
should be consistent throughout its
entire length.
The chimney stack should have a built in air
tight clean out. WARNING: Do not operate
with clean out uncapped.
The chimney size should be at least
as large as the exhaust stack on the
furnace, but not more than twice it’s
size.
